I’m emotionally invested on the wedding day because on the days leading up to the event I’ve heard how you’ve met, got engaged, pulled together all the little details, and your plans for the future. So when I show up on that day, we’re no longer strangers but friends!
Then when the stress has faded away and that new life has begun, you two--now one--can look back on your pictures and remember all the beautiful moments from your day! It’s all about a legacy of memories, traditions, and stories for generations to come, all starting with this special day!

Your wedding day is a once in a lifetime event! And unless you had a close friend get married recently, navigating the wedding world can be overwhelming. So our first meeting will just be a relaxed time to get to know each other and make sure we're a perfect fit!

I’m Lydia, a wedding photographer living amidst the trees of Grass Valley, California and lover of European chocolate, capri blue volcano candles, team both coffee and tea, podcasts, and my newest guilty pleasure -- watching legal commentary on live court cases!
Most days you can find me working from home on my MacBook Air, driving over to a coffee shop for a work date, or traveling for a photoshoot I put together on a whim just to be creative. Every day is new and different, and I thrive on the variety and freedom!
I love to just spend time with people and getting to know them on a deeper level, whether through trying out new hikes, meeting up for coffee, or grabbing lunch together. Everyone has a story and being able to share in that is such a privilege!

MEET LYDIA
1. Books! - business books mostly, but finding time to pick up an old favorite or two.
2. My mug - both coffee & tea, though my espresso machine with Ethiopian light roast beans has me giving a slight edge to coffee! ;-)
3. Magazines - graphic, fashion, and interior design, no wonder I love weddings so much.
4. Chocolate - mmmm, European, of course, though dove isn't half bad!
5. Candles - capri blue volcano year round
and pumpkin spice in the fall!
6. Notes - handwritten and on cute paperie of any kind has my heart.
7. Lip Balm - purse, nightstand, and makeup bag - always in reach.
8. iPhone - AirDrop for the win!
9. Planner - I'm an organized wannabe, my Simplified Planner and Google calendar keep me on track and on time.
