On the days leading up to the wedding you'll have shared how you’ve met, got engaged, are pulling together all the little details, and your plans for the future, so when I show up on that day, we’re no longer strangers but a friend emotionally invested in capturing your day as it unfolds!
Then when the stress has faded away and that new life has begun, you two--now one--can look back on your pictures and remember all the beautiful moments from your day! It’s all about a legacy of memories, traditions, and stories for generations to come, all starting with this special day!

No.1 FIRST MEETING
Your wedding day is a once in a lifetime event! And unless you had a close friend get married recently, navigating the wedding world can be overwhelming. So our first meeting, whether on the phone or in person, will just be a relaxed time to get to know each other and make sure we're a perfect fit! I want to hear all about the two of you, how you met, got engaged, and all the fun wedding details. The more I know, the more invested I become and can better capture your story!
No. 2 BOOKING + PLANNING
After choosing the perfect collection and booking via the online portal, you will receive emails along the way with ideas and tips to help you as you plan your day. The Lydia Photography magazine is full of my best advice from planning your engagement shoot to the timeline for your actual wedding day. We'll have a last chat the week before to go over last details!
No. 3 THE DAY
Me and my second shooter will arrive to capture your day from getting ready to partying at the reception! At some parts there will be interaction as we style details, guide family portraits, and photograph the wedding party. Other times we'll just capture the moments as they happen like during the ceremony and dancing! Your wedding is more than a photo shoot though so we work behind the scenes with all the vendors to help create an amazing experience for you, your family, and your friends!
No. 4 RELIVE THE STORY
We love sharing so sneak peeks may pop up in the days following as your reminisce about your day. All images will have minimal editing in keeping with my light and clean feel and to keep the digital and film files consistent. Next thing you know, an email will pop up in your inbox with a link to the full gallery! Again, we love sharing so you can share it will all your family and friends! Finally, I keep the album process simple so you will quickly have a tangible way to share the story of your day!
BOTH DIGITAL AND FILM?
Yes, I'm old enough to have had my first camera be a film camera at age 8! When I really started experimenting in high school, I borrowed my dad's film slr camera, and he ended up buying one of the very first digital slr cameras because he was tired of me developing roll after roll of blurry film pictures... ;-) Now I feel like a combination of the two allow me to better capture and tell a story! Digital is fast and great even in the darkest of situations. Film helps to slow down and feels like magic when the scans come back to show a moment you didn't even remember happening! So yes, I'm both a tea and coffee girl and also both digital and film!
